Why We Should Loose Weight

Some people ask why should we loose weight I'm not have any trouble and I fill fine?

Well as I was talk to a co-worker today he was telling me about how he was working construction few years back and some how he started having allot of back pain so he went to doctor after doctor trying to find out why his back was in pain and every doctor told him something differnt. He then told me how he got so mad because they put him on pain killers and all that did was make him fill bad so that it was hard for him to work.

Well then since I'm a massage therapist I started asking question and we got off track but I think that with his job change that he has made. He will be better off and then he has me to help him with this to. So anyways what i'm getting to is that sometime we have to change are life style to help use live happier and healthier lives. He said that one of the doctors said you need a differnt job and he said but I need this job there arent to many job that i can get paying $30 dollars an hour but see he has found one now and doesnt have the pain he once had.

So what I would say to that question is how do you know? I tell people all the time that they need to listen to there body and your body will tell you if something wrong. With beening over weight you need to know that it might not be a problem now but over years it will be because when your over weight organs have to work a lot hard so they give out quicker just like on a car if you drive fast all the time thing will need fixed quicker and more aften.

To conclude this as a massage therapist I have people come to me and say how can i loose this weight so i don't have these problems anymore. So here are some opion for you !!!!!!!

The study has implications for weight loss that go beyond traditional methods of losing weight that focus on calorie restriction and low to no carbohydrate dieting.

According to coauthor Barbara Gower, PhD, a professor in the Department of Nutrition Sciences, University of Alabama at Birmingham, “There has been great public interest in low-carbohydrate diets for weight loss, but they are difficult to maintain, in part because of the drastic reduction in carbohydrates.”

The new study, presented at The Endocrine Society’s 91st Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. shows that modestly reducing carbohydrate intake was enough to stabilize blood sugars and reduce insulin levels on a moderate carb diet – an important finding for reducing risk of diabetes, and in the long-run for facilitating weight loss.

Dr. Gower explains that most Americans get 55 percent of calories from carbohydrates in the form of sugars, starches and fiber. For the study, sixteen adults were assigned a diet consisting of 43 percent carbohydrate, with more fat to keep calorie intake the same. Fourteen adults received a standard diet as a control. Weights, glucose levels, and feelings of hunger were monitored.

The moderate carb diet consisted of 39 percent of calories from fat, versus 27 percent of calories for the control group. Both groups consumed enough calories to maintain their weights. The findings showed that even when weight loss is not the goal, the group who ate less carbs stayed fuller longer and had healthier blood glucose levels and lower insulin levels.

According to Dr. Gower, “Over the long run a sustained modest reduction in carbohydrate intake may help to reduce energy consumption and facilitate weight loss.” The study is good news for dieters who drastically cut carbohydrate intake and have frequent food cravings that lead to failure. A modest reduction in carbohydrate intake may be enough to cut food cravings by keeping us satisfied longer, thus facilitating weight loss.

The Way To Loose Weight

Losing the final few pounds is tough, isn’t it? Whether it’s 5, 8 or 10. It’s like those last pounds stubbornly refuse to leave your bod even when you seem to be working so hard! I’ve been doing a LOT of thinking about this lately, because I’m in the very same boat. Here are four strategies to try…

1. If you go to Starbucks, don’t get a snack with your coffee. Newsflash: Your latte is your snack.
2. Take a fresh look at your portion sizes. I know, you’re already a portion-size expert, but portions are sneaky–especially when you’re hungry.
3. Get back in touch with your hunger. I’m not telling you to go hungry or anything, but a little hunger isn’t going to hurt you either. Vitamin G post about “zen eating”–it could also help.)
4. Maybe ditch the wine for a while. Cocktails are caloric. Depending on what you’re drinking–a few glasses with dinner could tack on 200, even 500 calories to your daily total.
